February 2007 - not a lot has happened, we have taken the boat sailing a few time still trying to get to know her. We have been doing so much work on it we don't have time to sail her
March 2007 - Well we are finally finishing up the refit. We installed the Ray marine auto pilot and Sea Frost refrigerator. We have still not decided on the freezer system, so we will wait. Sea Gnome has entered her first race, Newport to Ensenada 2007. Mark is kind enough to let us use his asymmetrical. This should be a good shake down. We wanted to be sure we had the auto pilot for delivering her back to Newport Beach.
I can't wait to leave cruising. The current plan in to take January and February 2008 and do the Sea of Cortez and see how all the kids do without us. They will all be in college. if after two months they can't handle it then they all get kicked out and we rent the house. We took a family vacation to Belize, there is lots of pictures in the scrap book. Being here and seeing all the boats in the anchorage make us want to be out here even more. We are both so done with life on shore, hopefully we can be living on the boat full time this summer.
