1st
Well it is new years day and we had an uneventfully evening . WE rented movies for the day and curled up on the couch. I can't wait until the boat is ready to live on. Our new roomie has been hear a week now and so far so good. Oh yeah we rented out a room in the house , now we have someone here if we travel etc. She is the former step daughter of a friend I think it may work out. Any way boring day. Tomorrow is Richard 50th birthday and I keep telling him I have nothing planned and don't plan on anything.
2nd
Today is Richards 50th, How do you plan something on the 2nd of January, which happens to be a Monday this year. I can't do something the week before, that is Christmas, and oh yeah my birthday. WE went to breakfast at IHOP, and again we rented movie and stayed in. It is pouring rain out side anther boring day ( see the 7th)
4th
Today is the big rose bowl game, UT vs. USC . Spuds has pictures on her page of this party. Check it out. Richard ( RJ) is still having a pity party for having and uneventful Birthday.

More later but there was a surprise party tonight. 70 of Richards ( RJ) closed friends. check out pictures on our yahoo photo (link on the scrapbook main page) or on Spuds' page I have to get ready for work now so I will elaborate later on but what a great party and he was shocked and no more feeing sorry for himself
24th
Well it has been a busy month, Richard turned 50, The sea gnome is getting close to done, my step son (Richie) moved in, has gotten a job, enrolled on college and the cruise plan are now tabled until Richie hopefully transfer to U C Davis. He wants to be a veterinarian. I have been so busy at work it is making me crazy ( that why I want to go cruising).
Anyway the refit. The new diesel water separators are in, the new electrical panels are in , the engine room in insulated on 3 sides, still need to insulate the wall with the wiring . we plan to pull it down next week insulate and new wiring. Catalina here we come. Since Richie has been here he had been helping Big Rich on the boat and this are coming together quickly for now. We have also waterproofed the floor in the aft Head . No more leaks in to the aft cabin. Check out more picture on the refit page of the scrapbook.
I am also counting th4e day to the Caribbean. We are racing in the Heineken Regatta this year.
